We have had an incredibly active winter and we are looking forward to some great events the Spring!

Our Health and Wellnesss Presentation Series has been a great hit. We want to thank all the presenters who have given us some great information on an incredible variety of subjects. The series was open to anyone and free of charge, attendees came as far away as Elizabethtown. We plan to improve and expand this program next year.

Latitude artists have been exhibiting work Third Street Coffee for over a year and a half now. To celebrate that milestone we are presenting a Best Of Exhibit, featuring the work of: KennyTaylor, Belinda Sellers, Angela Bethel, Tony Dunn, Louis Walsker, Polly Swift, Heady Spalding, Della Bullens, Norma Barnes, Steven Elliot, Mike Combs and Beverly Baker
The exhibit will run until May 15

Speaking of Beverly Baker, Beverly has a Solo Exhibit at the Woodford County Library 115 N. Main Street, Versailles Kentucky. Her exhibit opens on April 15 with a reception from 2- 5pm and runs through mid June.

Latitude Community Open House: On Wednesday April 4, 9am-12pm and 1pm-3pm we are having a special Open House during which people can feel free to drop by and check us out. No reservations needed- just drop by! We are located at 167 Saunier Street.

Latitude Community Gardening Projects: Latitude's Mobile Community Garden Unit #3 Will be ready for gardening soon! It is scheduled to make an appearence at the Arboretum's Arbor Day Celebration on April 28th. For a look at Mobile Community Garden Unit #2 go to: http://latitudearts.org/services.html We are beginning to work on our new community garden space at the Lexington Community Garden at the Senior Center. We'll keep you updated on both garden's progress!

New Latitude Facilitated Program... (Mapping Our Stories) Latitude is partnering with the Nursing Home Ombudsman Agency of the Bluegrass and Homestead Nursing Home to create a program based on mapping the life narratives of a group of Homestead Nursing Home residents. We hope that this may be the start of a new off site component for Latitude.

Project Easy Access Lexington Update: We continue to make progress in our effort to create a more accessible downtown Lexington. Due to our efforts the LFUCG created a Commission on Disabilities and are currently appointing members. We just heard that there will be significant improvements to downtown paving and curbs, and that their is funding to create an accessible entrance to the the LFUCG building. We will keep you updated as things progress- thanks to all fo your support in this!

Have formed a partnership to begin the process of raising money to buy a downtown building which we will share. Much more on this exciting development in the near future!
